How to Use the Same Voice Across Multiple Songs in Suno

So you made a song in Suno, and the singer is perfect. Then you generate your next song and it's a completely different person. If you want a consistent artist across a whole project or album, here's how you keep that exact voice. The process is extremely simple.

Step 1: Turn the singer into a Voice

Go to the song that has the voice you want, click the three dots, go to Remix, and click Voice. (Suno used to call this feature Persona, now it's called Voice. Why the rename? I don't know. Same feature though.)

Suno will process the vocal stem, which means it separates the singer out from the instrumental so all it keeps is the voice itself. Once that's done, name your voice. I named mine Fay Darwin, because she sounded like a Fay Darwin to me.

Two small options while you're here:

  • Region select. You can highlight just the section of the song where the voice sounds best, like a clean chorus. Or leave it on the whole song, which is what I usually do.
  • Public or private. Public means other people can find and use your voice too. Private keeps it yours. I made Fay Darwin public, so if you find my Suno account, she's all yours.

Step 2: Use the Voice on a new song

When you're making your next track, don't go straight to generating. Go to the Advanced tab, hit the plus on Voice, and pick your saved voice. Then paste in whatever style prompt you want and create like normal.

That's the whole thing. I took a voice from a classic country song and dropped her into an Americana prompt, and it was clearly the same singer in a new setting. Same voice, new song, and it works across genres too.

Two ways to level it up

First: your saved voice doesn't have to stay in its home genre. Some of the most unique results come from dropping a voice into a genre it doesn't belong in. I wrote more about that in 7 Weird Suno Tips, where I push an emo voice through mumble rap.

Second: the voice is only half of a consistent artist. The other half is a consistent style prompt. If you keep both the Voice and the same core style tags across songs, you've basically built an AI artist with a recognizable sound. SUNO GPT can build that signature style prompt for you (10 free prompts, no card), and the 10,000 SUNO Prompts eBook has ready-made styles for 200 genres to pull from.
